In 2008 and 2009, the Social Carolina community organized 8 tweetups. Some tweetups were focused around music, food, entertainment and others around the entire Triangle twitter community, social media and new media tools to bring the entire community together. Our first Triangle Tweetup in 2008 had an attendance of about 35 people and throughout the year the Triangle Tweetups grew to 60 plus attendees. By Spring 2010, we had over 250 people attending the Triangle Tweetup in Durham NC and again in the Fall at the NC State Fair. These regular events continued through 2011 at Bronto, NC State Fair and at a new Art + Film event at the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh.

The Goal
The goal of TriangleTweetup.org is to organize up to major tweetups throughout 2009, 2010, 2011 and beyond with guest speakers, presentations, demos, music, food and prizes.
Our Mission
Our mission is to use twitter and other emerging social networking tools, apps and services to bring the Triangle community together for networking, learning and engaging offline with the potential to create new relationships and business connections.
