Details for the 1st Triangle Tweetup of 09, Jan. 29th 7pm at Edge Office

Happy New Year everyone, or should I say Happy Tweet Year. Last year was an amazing year for meeting new people and building relationships, a lot due to the fact of twitter. Now with twitter becoming more main stream and working on a business model, more people are signing up everyday and it’s becoming even harder to keep up with all of the new sites, tools and tweets of your favorite twitter friends. With that being said offline meetups (tweetups) will become even more valuable as we continue to follow one another and build on the relationships we established in 2008 and build new relationships in 2009.

Therefore I would like to announce the information for the 1st Triangle Tweetup of 2009.

Date: Thursday, January 29th
Location: Edge Office
400 Glenwood Ave
Raleigh, NC 27603

@chrisdaniel and I are going to try to make it, if we can get a babysitter!
  • Going to try to make it. It's been awhile since I've seen some of you, so look forward to catching up.
  • I'll be there--like the idea of the food drive Ginny!

    I'll be there! :)
  • Count me in as tentative, if I'm here I'm there!

I don't like that tweetbacks only work with the tinyurl - especially since @triangletweetup uses a tr.im version! Consider this a manual tweetback:

  • Will anyone be taping or recording the festivities? Unfortunately I will be out of town and won't be able to make it back in time, but I'd love to hear the presentations!
  • My first Tweetup and @covati will be there? Double score.

  • I think we should do something to help our community. What do you guys think of encouraging everyone to bring one or two canned or boxed food items? We can turn our tweetup (which generally has pretty good attendance) into a food drive. If everyone brought two items and 50 people showed up, that's a lot of food we could donate to the NC Food Bank. I'd be happy to coordinate this if you think people would be interested in helping.
